FFA Degree Award Winners!


Westlake FFA was able to attend National FFA Convention in Indianapolis Indiana. They were fortunate enough to be able to bring a few of their past members with them so that they could get their American Degrees. The people who got their American Degrees are:  Cassandra Burgess, BreAnna Goff, Shayley Jackman, Mya Herrera, Kandice Black, Corey White, Taylor Brady, Josh Austin, Charlie Clegg, Brennan Riley, and Rebecca Bell.

An American Degree is the highest degree you can get in FFA. You have to have recieved your state degree, been an active member in FFA for the past 36 months, have sastifactorily completed 540 hours in school instruction, you are able to recieve it 12 months prior to the national convention, but have to have graduated high school. Earned at least $10,000 and productivly invested $7,500. Or earned and productivly envested $2,000 and worked 2,250 hours in excess of scheduled class time. Have higher than a “C” in all classes, and participated in at least 50 hours of community service in at least 3 different service activities.

Westlake FFA is so proud of these retired officers that were able to get their degrees, and the ones that are going to get theirs in the future. Congratulations!
