The end of term one has come at last. It feels like school just started, but we are actually a quarter of the way done. We survived the beginning of the school year, we had a blast at homecoming, and the seniors won the spirit bowl, but now is the time to focus. We still have three more terms left before we’re done, and with it comes a lot of work. Make sure you keep up on your grades and don’t get behind in your classes. You made it through the beginning, but now you have to keep it up.
It can be easy to get behind, but one of the best ways to stay caught up is to pay attention in class. I know how much we all need sleep, but class time is not nap time. I speak from experience when I say that as nice as it is to take a nap, it’s also one of the fastest ways to get lost and have no clue what is going on. The last thing you want is to mess up your grade, all because you wanted to “rest your eyes”.
Another important way to keep your grades up is to do your homework. Don’t procrastinate and leave it until midnight the night before. It won’t help. The best thing to do is to just set some time aside to do homework. Don’t worry, Fortnite isn’t going anywhere. Just taking an hour out of your night to do homework can be extremely useful for keeping your grades up and just making life better for you in the long run.
The term is over, but that doesn’t mean that school isn’t. Make sure that you keep your grades up through the rest of the school year, and don’t fall behind. Hopefully you used fall break as some time to rest your body and mind, so now you can rock it in term two and the rest of the school year.
